Abstract: | Objective:To explore the antihypertensive effect of Xixiancao(Herba Siegesbeckiae)on renal hypertension,and to study its antihypertensive mechanism.Methods:The renal vascular hypertension rat model was replicated by the Liangshen Yijia method,and the rats were randomly divided into model group,captopril(25 mg·kg-1)group,Xixiancao(Herba Siegesbeckiae)(high,medium,and low dose)(64 g·kg-1,32 g·kg-1,16 g·kg-1)group.A sham operation group was also set up.After 4 weeks of continuous administration,the rat tail artery systolic blood pressure(SBP)and diastolic blood pressure(DBP)were measured;the plasma levels of aldosterone(ALD)and angiotension Ⅱ(AngⅡ),endothelin-1(ET-1),nitric oxide(NO)and calcitonin gene related peptide(CGRP)indicators were measured.Results:Compared with the model group,Xixiancao(Herba Siegesbeckiae)high,medium and low dose groups and captopril group can significantly reduce SBP and DBP of model rats,reduce plasma AngⅡ,ALD,ET-1 levels,and increase plasma CGRP,NO level.Conclusion:Xixiancao(Herba Siegesbeckiae)has a good improvement effect on renal vascular hypertension,and its mechanism of action may be through inhibiting angiotensin converting enzyme,reducing the production of AngⅡ;inhibiting the release of renin ALD and ET-1,and increasing the production of CGRP and NO expression,thereby playing a role in lowering blood pressure. |
