Clinical effect and safety of percutaneous coronary intervention in the treatment of elderly coronary heart disease

Objective To analyze the clinical effect and safety of percutaneous coronary intervention in the treatment of elderly coronary heart disease.Methods A total of 78 elderly patients with coronary heart disease were divided into control group(20 cases,conventional drug treatment)and study group(58 cases,percutaneous coronary intervention on the basis of conventional drug treatment)by the wishes of patients and their families.According to the age of patients in the study group,38 patients<75 years old were included in study group A,and 20 patients≥75 years old were included in study group B.The clinical efficacy,cardiac function index and quality of life between the control group and the study group were compared,and the operation conditions and operation adverse reactions between the study group A and the study group B were compared.Results The total effective rate of treatment in the study group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).The left ventricular ejection fraction,left ventricular end diastolic diameter and left ventricular end systolic diameter in the study group were better than those in the control group(P<0.05).The GQOL-74 scores in the study group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The success rate of operation in the study group B was lower than that in the study group A,and the mortality during hospitalization and the total incidence of operation adverse reactions were higher than those in the study group A(P<0.05).Conclusion Percutaneous coronary intervention in the treatment of elderly patients with coronary heart disease has a significant effect,it can effectively improve the cardiac function and the quality of life of patients.However,the elderly factors have a significant impact on the success rate and safety of operation in patients.
