Effect of special penetrating acupuncture combined with thunder fire moxibustion on peripheral facial paralysis and its effect on serum MDA and SOD

Objective:To analyze the effect of special penetrating acupuncture combined with thunder fire moxibustion on peripheral facial paralysis and the effect on serum malondialdehyde(MDA)and superoxide dismutase(SOD).Methods:Patients with peripheral facial paralysis were selected as the research objects.According to the random number table method,they were divided into two groups,45 patients in the control group received thunder fire moxibustion therapy,and 45 patients in the observation group received special puncture combined with thunder fire moxibustion therapy.Clinical efficacy,emG,serum factors and classification indexes were observed.Results:The total effective rate of observation group(95.56%)was significantly higher than that of control group(80.00%)(P<0.05).After treatment,the latency of action potential,MDA and FDIS score in observation group were significantly lower than those in control group(P<0.05).The amplitude of wave,SOD,nitric oxide(NO),H-B score,Portmann score and body function(FDIP)score in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:Special penetrative acupuncture combined with thunderfire moxibustion can effectively relieve SOD and MDA levels,promote facial expression muscle excitability and improve facial nerve function.
