The Progress in the Treatment of Acute Liver Injury

Acute liver injury is the damage of a large number of liver cells because of a variety of causes in patients without chronic liver disease.This disease often occurs suddenly,progresses rapidly and results in serious consequences which will cause liver failure and hepatic encephalopathy if there is no definite diagnosis and active treatment.Thereby,acute liver injury is a kind of disease which needs clinical attention and aggressive treatment.This article reviews the etiology,pathogenesis,clinical manifestations,diagnosis and treatment of acute liver injury.
