Application of closed percutaneous reduction by leverage and plate fixation in treatment for fracture of calcaneus

Objective： To evaluate the clinical effect of closed percutaneous reduction by leverage and plate internal fixation on treatment for fracture of calcaneus.Methods： A total of 80 patients with fracture of calcaneus,who underwent surgery were randomly divided into trail group and control group by half.Patients in trial group were treated by closed percutaneous reduction by leverage and plate internal fixation;while patients in control group by conventional open reduction and plate internal fixation.The operation time,bleeding volume,postoperative foot function were observed and compared.Results： No patient had complications as loosening fracture fixation,wound infection and flap necrosis.The operation time was shorter and bleeding volume was less in trial group（P〈0.05）.Conclusions： Compared with conventional open reduction and plate internal fixation,closed poking reduction plate fixation percutaneous reduction by leverage and plate internal fixation have advantages of shorter operative time and less bleeding volume.But it is not sure whether two treatments have effect on foot function.
