Vitrification of human blastocyst and single embryo transfer

Vitrification simplizes the procedure of embryo cryopreservation and improve the outcome of the cryopreserved embryos of different grades, especially for the blastocysts that have poor quality after slow cryopreservation. Vitrification is assumed to be a promising method to cryopreserve embryos. Single embryo transfer is the effective method which increases the pregnancy rate and eliminates multiple pregnancies. The aim of this article is to summarize the influential factors of vitrification and the advance in blastocyst vitrification.
