| Abstract: | Objective:To investigate the effect of kangaroo care on operational pain of preterm infants in neonatal intensive care unit(NICU).Methods:A total of 90 preterm infants in our hospital were divided into control group and observation group according to the order of admission.45 preterm infants in the control group received NICU routine care,and other 45 preterm infants in the observation group received routine care and kangaroo care.Operational pain score,blood oxygen saturation(SPO2),heart rate(HR)and other vital signs were compared between the two groups.Results:The scores of Neonatal Infant Pain Scale(NIPS)in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group during operation and 1 min after operation(P<0.05 or P<0.01).There was no significant difference in HR and SPO2 between the two groups 1 min before operation(P>0.05).HR of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group(P<0.01),and SPO2 was significantly higher than that of the control group during the operation and 1 min after operation(P<0.01).Conclusion:The kangaroo care could relieve operational pain and reduce the fluctuation of vital signs of preterm infants in NICU during and after the painful operation. |
