To Observe the Effect of Dexmedetomidine on Refractory Insomnia

Objective:To observe the effect of dexmedetomidine on refractory insomnia.Methods:A total of 80 patients with intractable insomnia admitted to The First People′s Hospital of Zhaotong city,Yunnan Province from May 2019 to July 2020 were selected as the research subjects,and they were divided into observation group and control group according to random number table method,with 40 patients in each group.The control group received routine treatment,and the observation group received micropump injection of dexmedetomidine to induce sleep.Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)was used to compare the Sleep Quality improvement of 2 groups before and after intervention.The Hyperarousal Scale(HAS)was used to compare daytime arousal in The two groups.Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA)was used to compare the improvement of Anxiety state in 2 groups before and after intervention.Cognitive function mini-Mental State Examination(MMSE)was used to compare the mental states of patients in 2 groups,and the serum cortisol levels of patients in 2 groups were detected.Results:After intervention,PSQI score of the observation group was significantly lower than the control group,HAMA score,HAS score,MMSE score,incidence of adverse reactions and serum cortisol level were significantly lower than the control group,the differences between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:Dexmedetomidine is effective in the treatment of refractory insomnia,which is worthy of clinical application.
