Effect of Paroxetine Combined with Low Dose Olanzapine in the Treatment of Depression Complicated with Sleep Disorder

Objective:To study the efficacy of paroxetine combined with low dose olanzapine in the treatment of patients with depression complicated with sleep disorder.Methods:A total of 84 cases from February 2019 to October 2020 in the fourth people′s hospital of liaocheng city with sleep disorder were selected as the research objects,according to the random number table method were divided into observation group and control group,42 cases in each group,control group given paroxetine treatment,the observation group given small dose of olanzapine combined with paroxetine;Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)was used to compare the improvement of sleep quality beftween 2 groups before and after treatment,and Hamilton Depression Rating Scale(HAMD)was used to evaluate the improvement of depressive between 2 groups,and to compare the improvement of quality of life by using the SF-36 short form health survey(SF-36),compare the changes of serum Hcy levels and the incidence of adverse reactions between 2 groups at different time points during treatment.Results:After treatment,PSQI score of observation group was better than the control group,sleep time more longer than the control group,wake times were lower than the control group,sleep duration was higher than the control group,the difference was statistically significant(Ps<0.05);The HAMD score of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group,and the SF-36 quality of life score was significantly higher than that of the control group.After 4 and 6 weeks of treatment,the serum Hcy level of the observation group was lower than that of the control group,and the incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion:Paroxetine combined with low-dose olanzapine has a significant effect on the treatment of depression complicated with sleep disorder,which can effectively increase the sleep duration of patients,reduce the number of awakenings of patients,relieve depression,improve the quality of life,and is safe and reliable,worthy to promotion in clinical.
