摘    要:医学生需要更多地了解和重视双语教学的重要性。目前,医学生对于英语学习重视不够,对于循证医学、国际医学体系和终生学习缺乏了解,他们可能仅查阅了中文文献和登陆了中文医学网站。为了探索双语教学的多元化途径,更好地激励学生的英语学习,我们邀请了2位外藉教师举办了英文讲座和课堂讨论。通过双语教学活动,我们发现了一些问题:首先,由于听力和词汇的不足,学生理解英文讲座的内容有困难,但是他们却羞于启齿提问;其次,学生缺乏相关的专业英语教材,对国外的医学网站了解很少,没有利用英语写作和口语交流的机会。外藉教师参与医学生的教学提供了解决以上问题的办法。

Abstract:Medical students need to be encouraged to understand the importance of foreign language skills.At the moment,some students are not motivated to read medical journals or medical websites in other languages than Chinese.This reflects a poor understanding of evidence-based medicine,the international medical community,and the concept of life-long learning.We invited two English-speaking teachers to give lectures and attend teaching seminars with medical students.The experiment was not without problems: students complained about difficulities understanding,but were hesitant to interrupt the teachers with questions.Students need more experience with written and oral English,e.g. reading English-language textbooks and routinely doing Medline searches,and discussing medical topics in English.Introducing foreign teachers to medical students may provide this experience.
