Discussion on charging medical service fee to improve public hospital compensation mechanism

Drug zero mark up and compensation mechanism reform plays important role on public hospital reform. Charging medical service fee as a breakpoint for compensation mechanism in Beijing has attracted extensive attention. Based on the analysis of environment of public hospital reform and the existing screwy compensation mechanism, the limitation of the pharmaceutical service fee, the advantages and feasibility of the medical service fee is discussed. The suggestions on the further improvement of the public hospital compensation mechanism have been proposed, such as separation the clinic from pharmacy, strengthening the support and carrying out the cost accounting.
