加入WTO与南通经济发展战略的选择

加入WTO后我国应享受的权利和义务 ,将给南通市经济发展带来极大的机遇和严峻的挑战。一方面 ,在WTO的推动下 ,南通市经济将快速发展 ,国民生产总值增长率、外贸出口增长率、居民收入水平将有较大幅度增长 ;另一方面 ,南通市也面临着主要产业竞争力不强 ,政府调控经济方式创新力不足 ,现行体制与市场经济亲和力不够等三大障碍。要清除这些障碍 ,应对WTO的挑战 ,南通市必须实行结构升级优化战略、创新战略、双方互动战略、人才强市战略

Entry into WTO and Strategy Choice for Developing Nantong Economy

The privileges and obligations endowed to China after its entry into WTO will pose a great opportunity as well as an enormous challenge to the development of Nantong economy. Facilitated by WTO, it will rapidly develop to greatly boost the growth rate of GNP, export volume in foreign trade and people's incomes. On the other hand, Nantong is confronted with three major obstacles, including the low competitiveness of chief industry, inadequacy in the government's economic monitoring and lack of harmony between the existent system and market economy. To eliminate these barriers and cope with the challenge from WTO, Nantong is expected to implement the strategy for upgrading and optimizing infrastructure, strategy for innovations, interactive strategy and strengthen-the-city-with-talents strategy.
