Abstract:We report a 59-year-old Japanese male with nevus of Nanta on the face. Histological examination revealed a nest of nevus cells in the dermis and ossification beneath the nevus. Positive staining for transforming growth factor-beta and connective tissue growth factor suggested the involvement of these growth factors in the ossification of nevus of Nanta.
