第三脑室后部肿瘤切除术

手术治疗第三脑室后部肿瘤13例,效果满意,认为对其部位肿瘤应积极手术,并对其治疗方法及手术入路的选择进行了重点讨论。

SURGICAL REMOVAL OF TUMORS IN THE POSTERIOR REGION OF THIRD VENTRICLE

This paper presents the experience with surgical removal of third ventricle posterior region tumors in 13 patients 11-32 years old. Pathological examination revealed 2 epidermoid, 2 teratoma, 1 gelatinous cyst, 2 pinealoma, 1 oligodendroglioma, 3 astrocytoma, 1 chorioid papilloma and 1 angioma. The surgical approaches adopted were frontal transforamen of Monro ( 2 cases ) , frontal transcallosal ( 2 cases ) , parieto-occipital transcallosal ( 6 cases ) , and occipital tanrstentorial ( 3 cases ) . The tumors removed were complete in 7 patients, subtotal in 4 and partial in 2. One patient died after operation; the surgical mortality was 7.7%. Nine of the patients were followed up for 16 to 103 months; 7 of them resumed their original work or study. The authors suggest that surgical removal of the third ventricle posterior region tumor should be enthusiastically applied. Selection of surgical approach depends on tumor's position, size, type, direction of extension and relation to deep veins, and the neurosurgeon' s personal experience.
