Effect of human urinary extract on initiation and growth of spontaneous murine mammary tumours

A material with gonadotrophin-inhibiting properties was extracted from pooled human urine of male subjects. This material was able to prevent initiation of mammary tumour growth in C3H(Jax) mice. When injected into tumour-bearing animals, 5 out of 31 tumours regressed while 21 out of 31 tumours stopped growing.
