Abstract: | Two cases of peritonitis caused by Branhamella catarrhalis are presented. Both occurred in CAPD patients dialyzed and hospitalized at the same institution, but no common source of infection could be found. Branhamella catarrhalis infections can be difficult to treat and cause significant morbidity if not recognized early and treated aggressively with appropriate antibiotics. |
