Good Practice in Out of School Care Provision
Abstract:

This review looks at empirical evidence concerning good practice in the provision of out of school childcare. English language journals were searched for relevant research from both the UK and other countries. Our aim was to seek out evidence concerning good practice in the care of school-aged children. Results suggest quality in out of school provision is linked to three factors: staff training, programme structure, and appropriate adult-child ratios and group sizes.
