Abstract:Objective To explore the changes of low-weight infant with congenital heart disease(CHD) in the initial stage of extracorporeal circulation.Methods A total of 199 CHD child patients with body weight no more than 10kg undergoing the elected extracorporeal circulation(ECC) heart surgery were divided into two groups according to the existence of cyanosis,i.e.non-cyanosis group(group NC,n=176) and cyanosis group(group C,n=23).The priming solution was mainly composed of packed red blood cells(PRBC) and blood plasma.The changes of blood gas,electrolytes,hematocrit(Hct),blood glucose(Glu),lactic acid(Lac) and colloid osmotic pressure(COP) at 10 minutes after anaesthesia(T0),5 minutes after heparinization(T1) and 10 minutes after initiating by-pass(T2) were analysed.ResultsCompared with the indexes at T0,at T1 Hct and COP were decreased in both groups(P〈0.05);at T2 pH and base excess were decreased in group NC(P〈0.05),the concentration of sodium ion was increased and of kalium and calcium ion was decreased,Glu and Lac were increased,and COP was decreased in both groups(all P〈0.01).Conclusion The internal milieu has different degrees of changes in the initial stage of ECC in CHD infants with low weight.
