特发性面神经麻痹,又称贝耳(Bell)麻痹,是指原因不明、急性发病的单侧周围性面神经麻痹,由茎乳突孔内发生的急性非化脓性炎症引起,是以颜面部表情肌群运动功能障碍为主要特征的一种常见病。面神经或茎乳孔内发生炎性水肿后,压迫面神经而致患侧面部表情肌瘫痪。近年来,国内外采用药物、物理疗法、针灸等治疗特发性面神经麻痹取得可喜成果。
