Clinical Efficacy Observation of Prevention and Recuperation with Traditional Chinese Medicine Characteristics in Treating Allergic Rhinitis

Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of oral Chinese materia medica combined with traditional Chinese medicine characteristics to prevent and recuperate allergic rhinitis.Methods:A total of 90 patients with allergic rhinitis(deficiency of lung and spleen yang syndrome)were randomly divided into the study group and control group,45 cases in each group.The study group was treated with oral Chinese materia medica combined with traditional Chinese medicine characteristics for prevention and recuperation;the control group was treated with oral Chinese materia medica only.The clinical efficacies of the two groups were observed,recorded and evaluated at 0,2 and 4 weeks respectively.Results:After 2 weeks of treatment,the total effective rate was 88.89% in the study group,84.44% in the control group,there was no significant difference between two groups(P>0.05).After 4 weeks,the total effective rate was 93.33% in the study group,which was higher than 77.78% in the control group(P<0.05).After 2 and 4 weeks,the scores of major nasal symptoms and signs,and sIgE levels were improved to varying degrees in the two groups.After 2 weeks there was no statistically significant difference in symptoms and signs and sIgE levels between the two groups(P>0.05);after 4 weeks,the improvement in symptoms and signs and the changes in sIgE levels in the study group were better than those of the control Group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The treatment efficacy of oral Chinese materia medica combined with traditional Chinese medicine prevention and recuperation method is better than that of oral Chinese medicine only,and also could reduce the recurrence of the disease in the later stage of treatment.
