Clinical Observation on the Treatment of Subacute Thyroiditis with Liver-fire Phlegm Stasis Syndrome by Combination of Chinese and Western Medicine

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of integrated Chinese and western medicine in the treatment of subacute thyroiditis with liver fire and phlegm stasis and to explore its mechanism.Methods:60 patients were randomly divided into the control group(simple western medicine)and treatment group(western medicine combined with traditional Chinese medicine and external application of traditional Chinese medicine).4 weeks was 1 course of treatment.The symptoms after treatment,the serological changes,antipyretic time,goiter and pain regression time before and after treatment in the two groups were observed.Results:The total effective rate of TCM syndromes in the treatment group was 96.67%,which was higher than 90.00% in the control group(P<0.05).Compared with before treatment,the differences with serum FT3,FT4,TSH of the two groups were obvious after treatment(P<0.05),and the improvement of each index in the treatment group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05).The scores of TCM syndromes and ESR indexes were improved after 2 weeks and 4 weeks of treatment(P<0.05),and the improvement of TCM syndrome score and ESR index in the treatment group were better than those in the control group(P<0.05).The antifebrile time,goiter regression time and pain disappearance time in the treatment group were faster than those in the control group(P<0.05).There were no obvious adverse reactions and abnormal liver and kidney function in the treatment group,and 3 cases of digestive tract symptoms in the control group.Conclusion:The treatment of subacute thyroiditis with liver fire and phlegm stasis type has the advantages of improving inflammatory reaction,effectively relieving pain,improving curative effect,shortening course of disease and reducing adverse drug reaction.
