Abstract:Lipo-toxicity which be caused by hypertriglyceridemia(HTG) has attracted many attentions at recent. HTG can cause and aggravate insulin resistance, decrease the biological effect of insulin. Apolipoprotein A5 can decrease plasma triglyceride level. At present there are some disputions about the relationship of apolipoprotein A5 and triglyceride. The mechanisms of apolipoprotein A5 regulating plasma lipid metabolism have not be illuminated. If the relationship among apolipoprotein A5, triglyceride and insulin resistance will be identified, it may be helpful for revealing the pathogenesis of lipid metabolism and diabetes mellitus.
