素食预防2型糖尿病的效果

摘    要:目的探讨素食预防2型糖尿病的效果。方法采用便利抽样的方法从某社区居民中抽取信仰佛教的素食2年以上者55例及饮食结构以植物性食物和动物性食物混合为主者53例,调查108例研究对象的糖尿病史,并空腹检测血糖及总胆固醇。结果素食组和荤素食混合组的空腹血糖分别为(4.05±0.61)、(4.86±1.61)mmol/L,胆固醇分别为(4.32±1.04)、(5.08±0.85)mmol/L,差异有统计学意义(P〈0.01);素食组无一例符合糖尿病诊断标准(空腹血糖≥7.0mmol/L),荤素食混合组有4例空腹血糖≥7.0mmol/L,差异无统计学意义(P=0.055)。结论通过增加膳食中植物性食物的比例,能提高机体对胰岛素的敏感性,降低空腹血糖,而且素食成分有助于维持人体的酸碱平衡、降低体内胆固醇水平,从而控制心血管系统疾病的危险因素。

Abstract:Objective To explore the preventive effects of vegetarian diet on type 2 diabetes.Methods Fifty-five Buddhists with vegetarian diet over 2 years and 53 patients with mixed food of plan diet and animal diet were selected in a community by convenience sampling method.The fasting blood glucose and total cholesterol were measured in all the patients and the history of diabetes were recorded.Results The fasting blood glucose levels of vegetarian group and group with mixed diet were(4.05±0.61)mmol/L and(4.86±1.61)mmol/L,respectively.The total cholesterol levels of vegetarian diet group and mixed diet group were(4.32±1.04)mmol/L and(5.08±0.85)mmol/L,respectively.The differences had statistical significances(P〈0.01).No patient in vegetarian group met the diagnostic criteria for diabetes(fasting blood glucose≥7.0 mmol/L).Four patients in mixed diet group were diagnosed as having type 2 diabetes.No significant differences were observed between the two groups(P=0.055).Conclusion Increasing the proportion of plant food in diet can improve the body's sensitivity to insulin,reduce fasting blood glucose,help maintain the body's acid-base balance with vegetarian ingredients,boost metabolism and decrease cholesterol level with a view to controlling the risk factors of cardiovascular diseases.
