Investigation into How to Define Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ethnic Drug and Western Medicine

Objective To scientifically define the traditional chinese medicine, ethnic drug, and western medicine, and thus to facilitate the innovation and development of pharmaceutical industry of the traditional chinese medicine and ethnic drug. Methods Definition was conducted by weighing the pluses and minuses and carrying out comprehensive study. Results It was practical that the concepts of the traditional chinese medicine, ethnic drug, and western medicine be surveyed on with the guidance of scientific concept of development. Conclusion It is suitable for defining the traditional chinese medicine, ethnic drug, and western medicine with creative concept.
