Clinical study on the treatment of young CSR with medicine ironing along meridians combined with radian traction

Objective To investigate the long-term curative effect of medicnie ironing along meridians combined with cervical radian traction in the treatment of young cervical spondylotic radiculopathy(CSR).Methods Sixty young patients diagnosed with CSR in Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology,Beichen District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated to Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from September 2018 to March 2019 were selected and divided into treatment group and control group with 30 cases in each group according to random number table method.The control group was given ordinary four headband traction combined with hot compress of linear polarizing therapeutic apparatus,the treatment group was given medicine ironing along meridians combined with cervical radian traction.The VAS score,cervical disability index(NDI) and total effective rate after 2 weeks of treatment and recurrence rate 6 months after the treatment of the two groups were compared.Results After 2 weeks of treatment,the VAS score and NDI and the value of cervical radian of the two groups were significantly better than those before treatment,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05),while the VAS score and NDI of the treatment group were lower than those of the control group,and the cervical radian value of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the treatment group was 93.33%,higher than 83.33% of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After 6 months of follow-up,the recurrence rate of the treatment group was 3.33%,which was lower than 16.67% of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The treatment of young CSR by the medicine ironing along meridians combined with cervical radian traction had a good effect and low long-term recurrence rate,which was worthy of clinical promotion and application.
