| Abstract: | Abstract A senile patient showed a dramatic recovery from medication-resistant depression after non-convulsive electro-shock therapy (nc-EST), with a lasting change in response to trazodone, which mainly acts as a serotonin re-uptake inhibitor. This result suggests that a change in the serotonin reuptake mechanism may be involved in the effect of nc-EST on depression. |
