| Abstract: | The expression of ras p21, nuclear morphometric parameters and DNA content in gastric carcinoma tissues were examined by histochemical automatic image analysis technique. It was found that the expression level of p21 in gastric cancer cells decreased with the increase of their DNA content and ploidy.It suggested that overexpression of ras p21 in gastric cancer might be initiated before the cytophenotypic transformation. In addion, it was found that expression level of p21 had no relationship with the nuclear morphometric parameter, tumor size or node metastasis of gastric cancer. |
