| Abstract: | An episode of human pJague prevalance occured in Qingshuihe, Manas County, Xinjiang from 8th to 15th of June, 1987. The initial patient got bubonic plague followed by secondary pesticemia, with whom 63 persons directly contacted and 1 of them infected with primary pneumonic plague, both of the infected patients died within 3 days. Clinical and laboratorial diagnoses were performed on the 2 cases, all the tests such as pathological and postmortem examinations showed identical results.The infection sourse for the first case was a dead roe deer from the bone marrow of which Yersina pestis were isolated. The disease was transmitted by direct touch. |
