| Abstract: | Adult male turtles Chyrsemys d'orbigni with olfactory deficiency caused by olfactory deafferentation or by olfactory bulbectomy were used. Four, six and eight months later the lesioned turtles showed significantly lower blood glucose level than control animals. The hypoglycemia was similar in bulbectomized and deafferented turtles. |
