| Abstract: | Mast cell neutral proteases are distinctive markers of the MC(T) and MC(TC) cells in humans. Measurements of tryptase levels in vivo serve as an overall indicator of mast cell activity. Further research is needed to evaluate the functional role of these proteases as well as each mast cell type in situations related to both health and disease. |
