PRL-3基因在结直肠癌原发灶中的表达及其临床意义

背景与目的：据报道，PRL-3基因表达在结直肠癌中具有显著的转移相关性。本研究探讨PRL-3基因在结直肠癌原发灶中的表达强度及其与主要临床病理学指标的相关性，以及在结直肠癌预后判断中的临床意义。方法：提取1998--2000年接受手术治疗并且具有完整随访信息的结直肠癌患者196例，采用免疫组织化学技术检测PRL-3表达情况，同时收集相关临床病理资料和随访信息进行相关性分析和预后研究。结果：在196例标本中，PRL-3高表达阳性率为49．5％（97／196），与肿瘤的组织分化程度、脉管侵犯、Dukes分期、手术性质以及术后转移的发生相关；单因素和多因素分析提示PRL-3表达是结直肠癌患者的重要预后因素。结论：PRL-3的表达是结直肠癌患者的一个新的预后指标，此基因的高水平表达提示术后脏器转移发生的可能性升高，并且和术后生存时间的缩短关系密切。

Expression of PRL-3 gene in colorectal cancer and its clinical significance

Background and purpose:It is reported that PRL-3 gene expression shows close relationship with the metastasis of coloretal cancer.We studied the correlation between expression of PRL-3 gene and clinicopathological characteristics in the primary colorectal cancer and evaluate its prognostic significance in the patients with colorectal cancer.Methods:From Jan 1998 to Dec 2000,196 patients with clinicopathologically proved colorectal cancer received operation in our hospital,the expression of PRL-3 gene was detected by using immunohistochemistrical technique.Statistic analysis was done by SPSS 13.0 software package to study the correlation and its clinical prognostic value.Results:The overexpression of PRL-3 happened in 97 of 196 cases(49.5%),and it was closely correlated with operation method,differentiation,vascular invasion,Dukes stage and metastasis of colorectal cancer.The results of both univariate and multivariate analysis showed that PRL-3 gene expression may serve as a prognostic factor for colorectal cancer.Conclusions:Expression of PRL-3 gene is a new and significant prognostic factor for patients with colorectal cancer.Overexpression of PRL-3 gene suggests that these patients may have higher possibility of postoperative metastasis and shorter survival time.
