| Abstract: | A preventive programme was carried out amongst primary school children living in a non-fluoridated area in which a fortnightly fluoride mouthrinse, combined with a fissure sealing programme, was found to significantly reduce the incidence of dental caries over a two year period. The cost of the programme was high when compared with fluoridation of water supplies. |
