Abstract:	We report herein the successful treatment of a patient with an osteochondral defect extending to the edge of the lateral femoral condyle by transplantation of tissue-engineered cartilage made ex vivo using atelocollagen gel covered by periosteum with a bone block to reconstruct the normal contour of the femoral condyle.
