| Abstract: | Objective： To explore the expression and clinical pathology significance of tumour suppressor genes RKIP and NPRL2 in mucoepidermoid carcinoma（MEC）.Methods： RKIP and NPRL2 proteins＇ levels were determined with immunohistochemistry in 48 cases of MEC and 13 cases of normal tissue.The correlation between these two proteins and MEC pathology was detected,too.Results： RKIP and NPRL2 mainly located in cellular membrane and plasma of MEC.Percentage of RKIP and NPRL2 positive tissue of MEC and normal tissue were 51.9 %,92.2% and 53.9%,93.4% respectively.Expression of RKIP and NPRL2 proteins were markedly lower in MEC than that in normal tissue（P0.05）.Conclusion： There might be a involvement of RKIP and NPRL2 in occurrence and development of MEC. |
