Comperative Study of Root Canal Sealing Ability of Different Sealing Materials

Objective： To compare the apical and coronal sealing ability of three kinds of root canal filling materials.Methods： 60 single rooted human anterior teeth were prepared and randomly divided into three experimental groups（n=20）.Group A was filled with lateral compaction gutta-percha＋Cortisomol.Group B was filled with lateral compaction gutta-percha＋AHplus.Group C was filled with GuttaFlow＋single cone.All teeth were immersed in India ink,then demineralized,dehydrated and cleared.Linear dye penetration was determined under stereomicroscope.Results： The apical leakage of group A,B,C was（0.4-2.9）mm,（0-1.9）mm and（0~2.1）mm respectively,the coronal leakage of groups was（0.46-2.0）mm,（0-1.28）mm and（0-1.14）mm respectively.There was statistically significant difference between groups for apical and coronal leakage（P0.05,P0.01）,whereas the only GuttaFlow reached the lowest apical leakage value.Conclusion： Gatta-Flow using with single cone technique shows a greater apical and coronal sealing ability.
