| Abstract: | Kartageners syndrome is a hereditary syndrome involvinga combination of dextrocardia (situs inversus), bronchiectasisand sinusitis, transmitted as an autosomal recessive trait.We describe a patient who had three anaesthetics over a periodof a few months. Discussion relates to anaesthetic considerationsin the syndrome and to recent findings relating to the molecularmechanisms of left-right development. Br J Anaesth 2000; 85: 91921 |
