性的含义及其本质

历史上对性的认识有三种，即生殖论、性欲论、社会建构论。它们体现了人类认识的发展，但是没有很好地揭示性的本质。人类的性是一种复杂的现象，包括生理、心理、社会三个层面，狭义的性就是性交往活动及其相应的生理、心理和社会文化内容。应当从人的实践本质出发分析性的本质问题。性的社会本质体现在三个方面：第一，性交往是人类之性的存在方式。第二，人类的性是在社会中不断构建的。第三，社会文化对个人的性交往方式起着决定性的作用，个人的性是社会文化的产物。

The meanings and essence of sexuality

Sexuality of human being is a complex social phenomenon, which can be analyzed in physiological, psychological, social aspects. The narrow sense of sexuality refers to sexual intercourse and its relevant physiological, psychological and social connotations. The essence of sexuality should be based on reality and practice. Socialization is the essence of sexuality. Firstly, sexual intercourse is the existing pattern of sexuality of human being. Secondly, sexuality is constantly constructing in the society. Lastly, social culture is the determinant factor for the sexual development.
