Abstract:To investigate the current research hotspot and frontier of modifiable risk factors for lung cancer. Methods The Web of Science database was searched for relevant research literature, and the number of publications was analyzed using Excel 2019. CiteSpace 5.6.R1 software was used to construct national and institutional cooperation network, keyword co-occurrence and emergence network, co-citation network, and co- citation clustering time axis. Results A total of 1 186 papers were identified, and the number of publications increased significantly after 1980. The top 10 co -cited references covered seven disciplines, with an average IF2018 of 6.66 points. The top three countries and institutions in terms of number of publications were the United States, France, China, and the National Cancer Institute, the International Agency for Research on Cancer, and the French National Institute of Health and Medicine, respectively. The intercountry collaborations were centered on the United States, with China, Canada, the United Kingdom, Sweden, and the Netherlands having a strong centrality in intercountry collaborations. Smoking had been a hotspot topic, with predominant research methods shifted from case -control studies to cohort -based studies, and popular research focuses expanding from diet in the beginning to occupational and airborne hazardous substance exposure. Conclusion The research on modifiable risk factors for lung cancer covers a wide range of fields, focusing on behavioral habits and harmful exposures. The quality of publications is high. Developed countries in Europe and America are leading this field in terms of number and time of publications.
Keywords:Lung cancer  Modifiable risk factors  Web of Science  Visualized analysis
