基于JPEG2000的医学图像压缩

摘    要:本文结合头部CT和MRI图像压缩,研究了JPEG2000标准和感兴趣区域(ROI)编码技术在医学图像压缩中的应用。通过计算峰值信噪比(PSNR),对编码后的图像进行率失真评价,进行了无损压缩和适当的有损压缩实验,并对JPEG2000标准和JPEG标准的应用效果进行对比。实验结果和分析表明,JPEG2000标准和ROI技术应用于医学图像压缩,对保证医学图像重要信息不失真,又能够提高压缩比,是一个优越的方案。

Abstract:Studies the application of JPEG2000 and region of interest coding(ROI) to compression for medical images,combining with head CT and MRI images compression.And also evaluates Rate distortion for all coded images by peak-signal-to-noise ratio(PSNR) and a compes applying JPEG2000 and JPEG to the same images by lossless and lossy compression experiment.The results show that the application of JPEG2000 and ROI technique to medical images compression is a ascendant scheme,which can preserve significant image information as well as improving compression rate.
