Teaching Efficacy of "Practical Nursing Technology" Set up in Clinical Medicine Specialty

Objective To explore the necessity of medical students learning "practical nursing technology" (PNT). Methods The medical students at Grade 96 and Grade 97 in our school were divided into two groups; control group not setting up the course PNT and experimetal group setting up the course PNT at fourth term, 2 courses every week, lasting 15 weeks. The skills of nursing operation in the students of the experimental group before and after studying PNT, the abilities of the students during the practical training and after graduation in the two groups, and the employment in the two groups were all investigated. Results There was significant difference in the skills of nursing operation in the students of the experimental group before and after studying PNT (P<0. 05). Clinical operating capacity during the practical training and operating skills in the clinical practice after graduation showed significant difference between the two groups (P<0. 05). 93. 96//o students in the two groups were worked in town and county hospitals or clinics.
