| Abstract: | This prospective, randomized clinical trial compared the treatment of ganglia by either hyaluronidase injection and aspiration or surgical excision. Fifty patients were randomly allocated to each group and 46 patients in the hyaluronidase group and 43 in the surgical group were available for follow-up at 1 year. Patients with ganglia treated with hyaluronidase had a recurrence rate of 77%, which was significantly higher (P<0.01) than the recurrence rate after surgery (24%). |
