Abstract: | Objective: To assess the clinical efficacy of electroacupuncture for treatment of unstable bladder. Methods: Patients were
randomly divided into electroacupuncture and control groups and the curative effects were evaluated according to improvement
in clinical symptom and quality of life scores after treatment. Results: The observation indices were significantly lower
after than before treatment in both groups (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in clinical symptom score between the two groups (P>0.05). Quality of life score was significantly decreased in the electroacupuncture group as compared with that in the manipulation
group (P<0.05). Conclusion: Both treatments improve voiding difficulty. The degree of satisfaction to quality of life is larger in
the electroacupuncture group than in the manipulation group. Clinical symptom score tends to be lower in the electroacupuncture
group than in the manipulation group.
