Preliminary study on the relationship of glycodelin-A with endometrial receptivity and pregnancy outcome in IVF-ET cycle

Objective To investigate the relationship between the expression of Glycodelin-A with endometrial receptivity and pregnancy outcome during in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer(IVF-ET)cycle.Methods Retrospectively selected 71 patients receiving IVF-ET treatment.The sex hormones[luteotropic hormone(LH),estradiol 2(E2)and progesterone(P)],glycodelin-A were measured on the hCG day.The endometrial thickness was measured by transvaginal ultrasound.The differences of Glycodelin-A,LH,E2 and P levels in different endometrial thickness groups were analyzed according to pregnancy outcome.The Glycodelin-A,LH,E2 and P in pregnancy group(31 cases)and non-pregnancy group(40 cases)were compared.The correlation between Glycodelin-A and endometrial thickness,sex hormones and pregnancy outcome were analyzed.Results The serum Glycodelin-A and E2 increased with the increase of endometrial thickness(P<0.05),and the serum Glycodelin-A in pregnancy group was higher than non-pregnancy group(P<0.05).There was no significant differences in the LH and P between the different endometrial thickness groups nor the pregnancy outcome groups(P>0.05).The Glycodelin-A was positively correlated with endometrial thickness,E2 and clinical pregnancy(r=0.405,0.269 and 0.596,P<0.05),while was irrelevant of LH and P(r=0.131,0.191,P>0.05).Conclusions Glycodelin-A in IVF-ET cycle is closely related to endometrial thickness and pregnancy outcomes.It can be used as an effective index for monitoring endometrial thickness and predicting pregnancy outcomes.
