| Abstract: | STARR procedure is a safe approach for the treatment of obstructed defaecation syndrome. The anatomical correction of the rectocele and/or the intussusception can achieve a complete rectal vacuity during defaecation. This minimally invasive approach requires a high patient selection and respect of different surgical steps to offer the patients sustained improvement in obstructed defaecation. |
