Abstract:Reduced lipid gluconeogenesis and formation of short chain and hydroxy fatty acids accompany reduction in the peroxisomal flavoprotein, L-alpha-hydroxy acid oxidase, in the ciliated protozoan, Tetrahymena pyriformis, made riboflavin deficient.
