| Abstract: | In situ hybridization histochemistry has been used to demonstrate the expression of the mRNA for insulin-like growth factor II (IGF-II) in the adult rat choroid plexus. IGF-II mRNA was found in the choroid plexus cells by using two different probes specific for different parts of IGF-II sequence. Parallel studies on consecutive sections showed that message for a choroid plexus marker transthyretin mRNA was also localized in the same choroid plexus cells. |
