Abstract:Objective. To observe the effects of Gekko gecko peptides on immunological regulation of immunosuppression mice. Methods: The immunosuppressed mouse model was established by cyclophosphamide (CTX) injected into abdominal cavity once a day for three days. Immunity of the mice was inhibited in the fourth day of drug withdrawal. Does of CTX was determined according to different test index. Meanwhile, the experimental animal was divided into six groups included the normal control, model negative control, levamisole(25 mg/kg) as positive control, three doses groups (400,200,100 mg/kg)of Gekko gecko peptides. After seventh day of administration the treatment, it was carried out measuring the spleens lymphocyte proliferation, the activity of NK cells, activity of peritoneal macrophages to kill tumor cells by applica- tion MTS method and the production of serum hemolysin by HCs0 method. Results:Gekko gecko peptides at doses of 400,200 mg/kg× 7 d,ig could increase the lymphocyte proliferation index, enhance the activity of both NK cells and peritoneal macrophages to kill tumor in immunosuppressed mice resulted from CTX 40mg/kg× 3 d,ip. Gekko gecko peptides at doses of 400,200,100 mg/kg× 7 d, ig could significantly increase the formation of hemolysin in immunosuppressed mice induced by CTX 15mg/kg×3 d ip. Conclusion:Gekko gecko peptides have an obvious effect of immunological enhancement in the mice of hypoimmunity.
