| Abstract: | Abstract A new cerebroside, named typhonoside (1), was isolated from the root tuber of Typhonium giganteum Engl. along with three known compounds dipalmitin (2), α-monopalmitin (3) and 2,6-diamino-9-β-D-ribofuranosylpurine (4). The structure of 1 was determined to be 1-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(2S,3S,4R,8Z)-2-(2′-hydroxyl-docosanoyl)amino]-8-otadecene-1,3,4-triol on the basis of spectral data. |
