Abstract: | Phytochemical investigations of the whole plant of Stachys parviflora (Lamiaceae) resulted in the isolation of two new phenethyl alcohol glycosides. The structures of the new compounds named parviflorosides A and B were established as 2-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-ethyl-O-α-l-rhamnopyranosyl-(1 → 2)-4-O-E-caffeoyl-β-d-glucopyranoside (1) and 2-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-ethyl-O-α-l-rhamnopyranosyl-(1 → 2)-6-O-E-caffeoyl-β-d-glucopyranoside (2), respectively. The structure elucidation of the new compounds was based primarily on 1D and 2D NMR analysis, including COSY, HMBC and HMQC correlations. |
