| Abstract: | This review summarises clinical development and patents, claiming anti-hepatitis B virus (HBV) and anti-hepatitis C virus (HCV) therapy, published from 2001 to April 2004. The majority of patents described in this review are new drugs and new treatment strategies, including several combination therapies. In addition, many patents reporting chemical processes and pharmaceutical formulations of nucleoside analogues and new HCV inhibitors have also been published. Also, there are some clinical trials related to anti-HBV and anti-HCV infection treatment. |
